Atherton And Wigan Cats Protection

Description

Atherton and Wigan Cats Protection is one of a network of over 250 volunteer run branches covering the UK. We were founded in 1983 and are a very active branch with lots of supporters, cat fosterers and fund raisers.

Our main objectives are:

1. to find good homes for stray and unwanted cats and kittens

2. to support and encourage the neutering of cats

3. to improve people's understanding of cats and their care We operate a non-destruction policy at cats protection and never put a healthy cat to sleep.

This cat shelter based in Lancashire is a wonderful animal charity that provides shelter to a wide variety of cats and kittens from many different backgrounds.

If you choose to rehome a pet with Atherton & Wigan Cats Protection, then the charity will make a thorough check of your home first to ensure it is the ideal environment for their animals to find have a new and happy life. Animals will already have received veterinary treatment upon arrival at the cat shelter, and so will be ready for their new life in your home if approved.

If you want to find out more about the animal rescue centres near you, then use our interactive map guide and get on the road to rehoming a pet all of your own!
