Paws for Applause
Every year, pet lovers who want to make a difference to an abandoned pets life take part in a fundraising event with all sponsorship money coming to Support Adoption For Pets. As we are completely reliant on these wonderful acts of kindness, we wanted to create a place where we can say "high paws" to those wonderful individuals and teams.
Below is a very big thank you to our many contributors who have donated money to our ongoing cause.
We are delighted to cheer on Sian Hamlet from Pets at Home in Stechford who is on a mission to transform her life this year by losing weight and gaining confidence - all the while raising money for Support Adoption For Pets!
As part of her efforts to lose 5 stone she is running two 5km and one 10km sponsored runs this Autumn, giving all donations to help homeless pets in need. You can find out more about her journey and her mission to raise the funds here....
We want to join in the fun with the team from Pets at Home in Stechford who took part in their local Colour Run to raise money for Support Adoption For Pets!
Together this brilliant team raised a fantastic £452 to help rescue pets in need in their local community.
It looks like they had a fantastic day getting through this challenging course, and getting very messy!
Thank you Pets at Home Stechford!
A massive round of a paws to Ezme Watkins, Terri Morgan, Leah Clarke and Helen Richards from the Pets at Home Oldbury store who raised a jaw-dropping £550 for Support Adoption For Pets.
This money will help us support local rescues in their area and provide a safe sanctuary for pets that need help the most
We'd like to say a massive thank you to Lisa Shearer who works for Pets at Home Bishopbriggs and took part in her local Tough Mudder event raising an awesome £300.00 for Support Adoption For Pets.
Tough Mudder really isn't for the faint-hearted so the fact that she wanted to take this challenge on and raise money for us too, really does show how much Lisa loves pets!
The money raised by Lisa has gone directly into our Grant Award Scheme so that we can help UK based rescues continue the work that they do.
If you would like to take part in a Tough Mudder event and raise much needed funds for us, please do get in touch or take a look at our Get Involved pages for more information on events local to you!
High Paws Lisa - thank you for being a charity superstar!
Massive high paws and nose bumps goes to Shannan Richardson who works for Pets at Home Basildon Pipps Hill, who took part in her local Colour Run at weekend!
She loves animals and is a massive supporter of our charity and wanted to help raise much needed cash for our Grant Award Fund so that we can continue to help homeless & abandoned pets.
She managed to raise £40 for us which is absolutely pawsome and looks like she had a fab time in the process!
We really couldn't continue our work without supporters like Shannan so if you are interested in taking part in an event and fundraising for us then please do get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
Massive high paws has to go the Owen Guerin a.k.a The Hulk who spent 40 hours (!!!) in a cage all because he wanted to donate to the Support Adoption For Pets Grant Scheme so we can continue to help UK rescues!
He raised a whopping £1,107.23 during his "uncomfortable" stay.
This equates to us making a donation to a rescue for 158 days worth of emergency kenneling which will save countless lives!
We think he deserves a "superhero" thank you for his passion and contribution
FA Cup ... what's that!? The SA Cup was the only trophy worth getting paws on over the weekend of the 21st May 2016
There was only one football match that Support Adoption For Pets was interested and it involved pawsome pet lovers who had arranged a charity football match at Middlesborough FC to help raise much needed funds for our charity.
Competition was high with both teams wanting to claim the SA (not FA) Cup as their own and resulted in a goal-tastic 6 - 4 match.
High paws to all those who took part and to those that organised such a fab, unique event.
Once again, our amazing supporters and fundraisers have shown that you can indeed put the FUN into fundraising by taking part in their local
Colour Run and raising an amazingly pawsome £465 for Support Adoption For Pets.
This money will help us continue with our rescue centre Grant Award Scheme so we would like to say a MAHOOSIVE thank you to Jo, Lynsey, Stefan, Chloe and Annette for being our charity superstars!
High Paws guys
Ever heard of Aqua Zorbing? Us neither... but this fantastic lot put the "fun" into fundraising and took to the water all in aid of Support Adoption For Pets....
This is a fantastic example of how fundraising can be fun and open to those that want to do something a little different.
Thanks to Becca Boyce, Chelsea Crawford and Laura Glass who managed to raise £193 for abandoned and homeless pets.
High-paws ladies and thank you for introducing us to what looks like a lot of fun!
We do love our amazing supporters because they all do fantastic stuff to support our little charity but we have to take our hats off to Tracie Knight who jumped out of a perfectly good plane over the weekend... all for homeless and abandoned pets.
Massive, massive high paws Tracie... don't think I could have done it
High-paws and massive thanks to Ben Ainsworth, Adam Watson, Tom Wooliscroft, Mark Hodgkins, Ricky Lewis, Will Boyce, Andy Miller, Richard Cormack and Ant Trousedale and Jim Dawson who cycled from Stoke to Paris and raised a massive £1,100 for our charity
