Devon Dog Behaviour Rehab & Rehome

Devon Dog Behaviour Rehab & Rehome, Support Adoption For Pets

Devon Dog Behaviour was founded by Ruth Owen to utilise her skills as a dog behaviour practitioner & a dog trainer. Its aim is the improvement of owners' understanding of their dogs so that behaviour problems can be at best avoided.

"Thank you for your e mail and a huge thank you for your support. We have a very special lad at our rescue called Jimmy. We took him in four months ago as an incontinent Bulldog cross puppy that no other rescue wanted. He was eight months old. When he arrived he was emaciated and double incontinent.

We arranged for an MRI scan to see what could be done for Jimmy and your donation for £1000 has paid for this. Sadly Jimmy was diagnosed as having canine Spina Bifeda and whilst surgery could offer no real odds of improvement we were told  he would likely become paralysed in his back legs.

Sadly, this is happening and Jimmy is losing the use of his back legs. On the up side though, he goes to hydrotherapy has a wonderful set of  wheels which help him whizz around and has the most positive  attitude to life I think we have ever see. Jimmy is an inspiration and will remain with this rescue for as long as we can give him a good life.

Thank you for helping us to help him"
