Feline Network, Support Adoption For Pets

We are Feline Network, a not-for-profit local cat rescue group caring for cats across Devon and the wider UK.

“We rescue unwanted or abandoned cats who come to us. Sometimes they are pregnant, feral or need medical attention. We applied for a Health & Wellbeing grant with Support Adoption For Pets as this is where our need is greatest. The process was thorough but well worth the effort and we were successful on this occasion.

As a small charity, our main hurdle with helping the cats, is finance. A major part of our money goes on vets bills, as many of the cats coming into care need the basics, such as neutering, vaccinations, even flea and worming treatments, to get them ready for their new homes. Some of the older cats we rescue also need dematting, dental work, blood tests etc, and these, whilst a necessary part of care, do add tremendously to the vet fees.

We believe every cat rescued by us deserves the best treatment, and that does cost money, a good 90% of our funds go towards this care.

The grant we have received from Support Adoption For Pets means we can accept more cats into our care, This money will be improving the lives and outcomes of many cats.

Thank you!”
